Feel Inspired And Energized By Movement

Moving my body has always been more than just a physical experience. It's how I open mental space to think and act differently. I was recently inspired and energized by an at-home workout that my husband and I did with the Nike Community Workout program. It's a free online class offered every Saturday, and this past week's challenge was lead by Akin Akamin.

Akin inspired and motivated me to think bigger and reminded me that we are a global team in this fight. In his live class, he had 30,000 people online, and his energy was bouncing off the walls. His infectious enthusiasm and positive affirmations made me giggle. Akin has self-proclaimed "monologues," and drops bite-size nuggets throughout the workout, and I've listed a few below that inspire me.

  • The opportunity is in your willingness to try.

  • In the challenge, we have a choice to think I can or I can't. Choose, I can and will.

  • Find the joy in the challenge and the process.

  • It's hard work to make it look easy.

  • Are you brave enough to see how great you are?

  • Failure = practice

  • I choose to focus on the positive, and I choose to stay motivated and inspired.

  • It's not about one race; it's about the process. The process teaches you who you are. The process gives you life.

  • The circumstances do not define us.

  • Your best is worthy.

  • You are not nieve; you are optimistic.

How do you want to show up when life is hard or challenging? I want to show up with energy, conviction, and determination. This inspiring workout helped me think about how I want to show up for myself, my team, my community, and I hope you find value in it as well. Thank you Akin for the workout and motivation.

Xo,

Tracy
